Ft. Tantav.

I was not a great vendee when it came to handlooms until now. If you have ever picked up any hand woven or hand printed products I am sure you have loved it because I am totally in love with it now. My affinity for ethnic never grows dim and I keep changing the style and colour to bring out the best look in ethnic. I found the perfect brand to try out the white indigo colour palette. Did I mention since autumn is around, I somehow wanted an indigo in my wardrobe (maybe because it’s the new shade in). I therefore unveil Tantav. Made of threads before you all. It’s the new brand in the runway. Tantav have actually coloured me into a more graceful, confident and complete “ME”. Tantav brings every dead handloom to life.  When I was introduced to this brand I went through all the collections for autumn season and was really elated to find the indigo as their colour theme for the season. I picked up a white long kurta with indigo threads at its both ends. But as I always emphasis that one should experiment with the style, so I found something was missing. A long indigo drape caught my attention because of its unusual tribal print. This ensemble called out to me to pair it up with the kurta. When I tried this on, it looked so different from how I’d imagined. Moreover this hand printed fabric made my skin breathe and feel at home. The threads gave shape to my desires. I immediately fell in love with this brand.
I styled up my apparel with a bunch of long chains and oxidised bangles picked from Janpath. I also wore a golden anklet to wind-up the look. We went for an indoor shoot to emphasis the drapery.

Tantav explores through the vast regime of traditional handmade textiles in India from pure cotton to pure silk.

Tie-Dye Mania.

         Top:Forever21 ; Skirt:A Gift ; Shoes:Lifestyle ; Accessories:Global Desi,Aldo,Westside ; On my lips:Lakme Absolute
                                                                                         Sunglasses:Mango

After shifting from the beautiful Dehradun to Delhi, I was totally in a state of transition (till date). Of course the change in weather has affected me a lot. If still in Dehradun I would have almost packed up my summer clothes by now but that I can’t do here. I still look for the summer stock and I am pretty sure that they are going to dominate my wardrobe till October. Experimenting with colours, prints have been my favourite spree especially during summer. And today’s post is about the nostalgic Tie-dye print. I can’t remember if I had own any tie-dye vesture in past but I have seen my mom and sister highly influenced by this print. I though owned a Batik print tunic, which is quite divergent but also one of the perennial prints. So this summer I bought this tie-dye printed camisole top from Forever21. I find this ensemble a fresh breath and wanted one of this print. I reckon that this camisole top is going to rule my wardrobe for many occasions from now on wards. Also the weather in Delhi is warm enough to wear this pretty much around. The best facet about tie-dye print is that you can pair it up with any finery. You can also create a tie-dye print on fabrics on your own. It’s very easy. I am glad that some stores are keeping the essence of age old prints in existence. The tie-dye has so much to add up to your style statement, trust me!

Now when it comes to pairing up this top I first chose leather pants but dropped the idea as I found it very cliched. Perhaps some other time! I ransacked my wardrobe and picked up this sea green long skirt (a gift) to go with. The accessories department is a big thing to look upon. Very often I’ve noticed that the jewelleries are overshadowing the outfit completely. I didn’t like this idea much and went for the aqua loops from Global Desi, a ring from Aldo and Emerald pendant to compliment the rest of the look. I opted for some bangles and a watch. Lakme Absolute on my lips and the lovely pair of wayfarer and it’s done!
Also have you guys checked out the all new VOGUE.in? It’s amazing with Sonam Kapoor as the Guest Digital Editor for all of the September. I love the all new VOGUE.in and so will you.
Lots of love to all you guys. Happy Weekend.

Slit Fantasy.

Earrings:Accessorize ; Shoes:lifestyle Store ; Sunglasses:Janpath ; Lipcolour:LAKME Absolute

I took French leave from the blog for almost 3 months and I missed blogging massively. I had to fix some personal jumbles in these past months, but I'm finally back and it feels really good. Today's post is quite different from the conventional. You may have noticed the slit tops are in Runway. The colour palette of this post was a different experiment for me. I generally don't go for white for bottoms. But this ankle length slit top demanded a classic white.

Now coming back to the point why this post is different. When I looked for slit tops in stores, I couldn't find the one that I had in my head. I actually imagine designs that suit my body line. Quite designer han! haha. I got this finery stitched for myself. I wanted some ethnic thread work on it to create an Indo-western look but in a subtle way. So here it is. The green Georgette with mustard work on it is the perfect ensemble for me. And not to forget the white skirt which I paired up with, is designed by my sister Amrita. She's a star undoubtedly. I am in complete awe with her designs. Picks of accessories for this clothing are earrings from Accessorize and the very elegant silver bangle gifted by my sister. Shoes from Lifestyle. Can't miss the lip colour from LAKME Absolute, my all time favourite shade. We took this shot in Hauz Khas in the afternoon in a quite peaceful location away from the buzzing crowd. And after I saw the pictures I got really excited and immediately posted them on my blog. I hope you have enjoyed this post. See you very soon.

Stay Tuned.
Love. Love. Love.

STYLE REHAB.

Hello.
How is it going for all you lovely people? For me it has been a rough month since I posted my last blog.Busy with my exams :( So when they are finally over I can actually take out time for myself and share this post with you all.Deliver us from this heat,Oh Lord! They say if the heat's still too much, there is always a cold shower. And to beat this heat I find cold beverages a great comfort. So last evening I decided to go on a good cafe hunt and due to this I was very confused when I opened my wardrobe.I picked up this outfit for the evening.Quite honestly I find this pick a breath of fresh air amidst the noise of chaotic over-styling firing from all directions. The weather demands a subtle wearing.I have been hugely influenced with my new navy chinos shorts from Forever21 and was looking for a day to pair it up with my pink Zara top.I went for golden peep-toes from Lifestyle and pale pink earrings from Accessorize to complete the look.I kept my hair down.Minimal eye makeup and I'm all ready to go.
Leaving you all with these pictures, have a great week ahead :)

Summer tip : Drink plenty of fluids.
